How to avoid sedimentation?
Many dispensing resins are supplemented with fillers to optimize their properties. Depending on the density or viscosity of a material, these fillers tend to settle when stored or at rest. Temperature control also has an influence on sedimentation. In a low-viscosity medium, the fillers sink to the bottom more quickly. Poor quality or rejects are the result. To guarantee uniform homogeneity, a stirring mechanism integrated in the material containers is therefore recommended. The constant and gentle circulation made possible by this prevents segregation and supports degassing. A time- and quantity-controlled circulation of the material in containers, pumps and pipes counteracts sedimentation, especially during production breaks.
